Dimapur DPDB meeting on Sept 11 

Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan has informed that the Dimapur District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of September 2020 will be held on September 11 from 11:00 am virtually, for which the online link/password for the virtual meeting shall be shared on Dimapur District Officers Whatsapp group. All members have been requested to attend using the link.

DSSU former executives meeting on September 11

Dimapur, September 9 (MExN): All the former executives of Dimapur Sumi Student’s Union (DSSU) since its inception in the year 1970 till date, are informed that there will be a meeting of all the former executives on September 11 at DSSU office supply colony (opposite to VJs coaching center) at 3:00 pm. The main objective for this meeting is to discuss and deliberate on the plans which are to be adopted, create different committees and so on for the upcoming 50th golden jubilee of Dimapur Sumi Students Union, stated a press note issued by Bohoi K. Yeptho, Convenor, Planning committee, DSSU. All the former executives and leaders of DSSU are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

FGN discharges one

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 9 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has terminated the service of and discharged one Lieutenant Colonel Empi from the Naga Army of the FGN. A discharge order issued by the C-in-C of the Naga Army, FGN, Major General Kutsoru Lohe said this has been done on receiving the directives of the Ked Kedahge, (The supreme Commander of Naga Army) FGN based on the investigation report regarding a complaint letter dated August 29, 2020 against the person concerned.

Kohima DC office bids farewell to SDO (C) Sadar

Kohima, September 9 (MExN): The office of Deputy Commissioner Kohima accorded farewell to Longasen Lotha, SDO (C) Sadar Kohima on September 7 following his transfer to Pughoboto. Kohima Additional Deputy Commissioner Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, SDO (C) Daniel R Angami, head DB Keneilezo and others spoke at the programme. The function was chaired by EAC Abeinuo Ashao Jasmine.

Survey along NH-61 for 2 lane road in Wokha postponed 

Wokha, September 9 (MExN): The assessment of the damage compensation and survey along NH-61 for 2 lane road in Wokha district has been postponed. The survey and assessment of the damage compensation of the structures “likely to be affected along the project stretch starting from Niropen Gate till Hammock Resort (Km 72.40 to Km 83.00)” in Wokha district has been postponed till further order as the survey of alignment plan and road geometric by TTC INFRA India is yet to be completed. The Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has stated all concerned that this notification is issued in revision of earlier notification issued from the DC office dated September 3. 

ZAPO visits villages under Zunheboto

Zunheboto, September 9 (MExN): Executives of the Zunheboto area Public Organization (ZAPO) visited all the 17 villages under Zunheboto range on September 6. In a press release, the ZAPO informed that the President and executives divided into groups and visited the villages “spreading messages of the do's and the don'ts.” During the campaign, ZAPO highlighted the Unlock 4 guidelines and also advised the villagers to habituate wearing masks and maintaining hygiene. ZAPO also cautioned the villagers to restrict their domestic animals from entering Zunheboto town as it had been creating nuisance in the town. The villagers were also urged to give more importance to local agriculture. ZAPO further said that, Zunheboto being the headquarter of the Sumis, it is the responsibility of every citizen in making it a cleaner and better town.
