
59th Indo-Naga Ceasefire Day on September 6
Kohima, September 2 (MExN): Naga National Council (NNC), Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) and NBCC leaders will celebrate the 59th Indo-Naga Ceasefire Day on September 6 at 10:00 am at Peace Camp, Chedema, Angami Region. The FGN, Ministry of Rali Wali through a press release has invited all the peace loving people to participate on the occasion and celebrate together.
TYNA Public Forum demands justice
Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The Tamlu Yongnyah Namsang Area (TYNA) Public Forum Hq. Tamlu has condemned the alleged crime meted out to E Henveih Phom of Ananki ‘C’ Village who died in mysterious circumstances under the custody of Assam Police in Geleki Police Station, Assam on August 21. TYNA Public Forum president, Puphei and General Secretary, V Longpa in a press release has appealed the state government to take up the matter immediately and book the culprit as per appropriate law so as to ensure justice to the family of the victim.
FGN condoles
Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and relatives of Vigwelhou Meru, Nakama Village of Zeliangrong Region father of Akho Meru, Homaki Kilonser, FGN who passed away on September 2 after prolonged illness. Gen (Retd) Viyalie Metha, Kedahge, FGN in a press release stated that his demise was a great loss for the community and our people as a whole. ‘May his soul eternally rest in peace and may the Almighty God grant peace and solace to the bereaved family members and relatives,’ Metha added.

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): In connection to the ‘Proposal for discussion for R.T.A meeting’, the Sr Superintendent of Police, Kohima has stated that it has erroneously cited the location of ISBT as Jotsoma, and whereas it is ascertained that the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is located at Rutsa, Tsütuonuomia Model Village jurisdiction falling under T Khel Council, Kohima and not Jotsoma. It clarified to all concerned/public to take note of the same and expressed regret for the unintended error.
