2nd Nagaland handmade jewellery exhibition 2021

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The 2nd Nagaland handmade jewellery exhibition 2021 has been scheduled for September 24 at The Heritage, Old DC’s Bungalow, Kohima. The event is powered by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA). It will start from 10:30 am till 4: 00 pm. The event partner includes; Made in Nagaland, Ilandlo.com, event planner - Gu Touch, sound partner- Beat Devices, print Media Partner- Colours Graphics, venue partner- The Heritage and Naga Street style as social media partner.

AFRAU elects new office bearers

Wokha, September 22 (MExN): The Amur Falcon Roosting Area Union (AFRAU) has elected new team of office bearers for 2021-2024 tenure led by P Thungchumo Shitiri as President and Yanshum Kithan as general secretary. New Naga Cemetery water supply project inaugural on September 24

Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): New Naga Cemetery water supply project constructed and sponsored by Niholu Ayemi and family, OSD to Minister Transport, Government of Nagaland in memory of K Ghokheto Chophy, former President NCD will be inaugurated on September 24 at 9:30 am. Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS Deputy Commissioner Dimapur will grace the occasion as special guest. Therefore, NCD General Secretary Thsapongkyu Sangtam in a press release has requested all the Councilors, Tribal Presidents, office bearers of DUCCF, DDCF, GBs (Sadar) Union are requested to make it convenient to attend the inaugural programme.

Digital intervention on handloom & handicraft sector project in NIELIT

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): A project on ‘digital intervention on handloom & handicraft sector for livelihood enhancement of artisans of NE states’ will be launched on September 24 at NIELIT Kohima Auditorium. Imnatiba, Advisor Industries & Commerce, Labour & Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Nagaland will launch the project as the special guest. Imnatiba will also launch MIS portal & release digital literacy book. Kekhrievor Kevichusa, commissioner & secretary Industries & commerce Nagaland will also address the function. Highlight of the project will be given by NIELIT director L Lanuwabang.

One cadre arrested 

Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): The Security Forces in a joint operation with police based on a specific input apprehended a cadre of Niki Sumi group and recovered one point 32 pistol with magazine and two live rounds of point 32 ammunition at Chümoukedima, Dimapur on September 19, reported an update from HQ IGAR (N). It stated that the apprehended individual alongwith recovered items has been handed over to Chümoukedima Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.

MVYO condemns alleged firing

Medziphema, September 22 (MExN): The Medziphema Village Youth Organisation (MVYO) has condemned the alleged firing at Medziphema on September 19 upon two trucks going towards Kohima by some miscreants. MVYO President, Neichüvotsolie Nagi and General Secretary, Pelevituo Kuotsu in a condemnation note stated that the alleged incident has caused exasperation and deeply irked the Organisation, whereby, the recurrent efforts of MVYO in maintaining a peaceful and harmonious co-existence within its jurisdiction has been blatantly invaded upon. “The Organisation will not allow any anti-social activities in its area and caution that it will lay hold of anyone indulging in such activities and austere penalisation would be incurred,” it stated while appealing to the Administration and Police to book those responsible and bring justice at the earliest.
