DWSMC Longleng constituted
Longleng, September 22 (MExN): District Water & Sanitation Mission Committee (DWSMC) for Longleng district has been constituted with the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng as Chairman. The members include DFO, CMO, DEO/ADEO/SDEO, EE PHED, EE Water Resource Department, DAO (Agri), DPRO, EE PWD (R&B) and Project Director DRDA. The first meeting of the DWSMC committee was held under the chairmanship of DC Longleng Dharam Raj at DC's conference hall, Longleng on September 20.
NSCN (IM) condoles
Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has expressed sadness over the demise of Sergeant Solan Horam of Yambamo Brigade, Naga Army on September 16 in Tuensang. Hailing from Kachai village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR), he enrolled in the Naga Army on March 9, 2013. Further, it mourned the demise of Zakato Achumi, Leacy of GPRN from Ghoshito village under Sumi Region on September 17. He joined Naga national service in 2005. “Both of them served the nation with loyalty and dedication till the last breath. We express regret that the Naga nation has lost two precious sons. Their tireless service rendered to the nation shall be cherished,” stated a condolence note from the MIP, NSCN (IM). “We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and share the pain,” it added.
FGN notifies on declaration of loyalty
Kohima, September 22 (MExN): Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Ministry of Killo Affairs (Home), on September 17 informed that as enacted and passed in the ‘National Assembly’ “each and every Naga willing to serve the nation shall have to subscribe and undertake to make a mandatory declaration of loyalty." In a notification, FGN Kilo Kilonser Zaleo stated that the declaration of loyalty included pledges to “serve the Naga nation ever upholding the NNC, Declaration of Independence on the 14th August 1947 and the Voluntary Plebiscite of the 16th May 1951 and defend Naga sovereignty as long as the moon and the stars continue to shine.” “As and when I violate this solemn declaration in any form, may the curse of our nation and the universe be upon me,” stated another line of declaration of loyalty, a copy which was made available to media on September 19.
Handicraft exhibition in Dimapur from Oct 7 to 13
Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): NHHDC Ltd. Dimapur will be organizing a handicraft exhibition at Urban Haat, Dimapur from October 7 to 13. The expo is sponsored by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, GoI. Zakabo V Rotokha, NCS, Managing Director, NHHDC Ltd has invited interested artisans holding artisans ID card issued by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) to apply to the Project Cell, NHHDC Ltd, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur on or before October 3 during office hours. Stalls shall be provided free with necessary lumpsum allowances to each stalls as per the guideline of the scheme, he added.
IRCSN Nagaland AGM
Kohima, September 22 (MExN): Indian Red Cross Society (IRCSN) Nagaland State Branch 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on September 26 and 27. The Business Session will be on September 26 at 11:00 am in Conference Hall, Red Cross Complex, Kohima, where Deputy Commissioners of the District and district representative from all the District Branches will participate. The Ceremonial Function will be held on September 27 at 11:00 am in Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan, which will be addressed by Governor of Nagaland, CM, President IRCSN Professor Jagdish Mukhi and Vice President of IRCSN. All founding members, Patrons, Vice Patrons, Life Members, and well-wishers of the IRCSN have been invited to grace the occasion.
NBSE notifies registered institutions
Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education has notified all the Heads of Registered Institutions that an Online meeting in regard to filling up of Individual Application Form (IAF/AF) for HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2023 is being convened on September 23 at 2 pm. All Heads of Institutions have been asked to attend the meeting positively with the staff in-charge of form submission. The meeting ID and passcode shall be shared later in the district WhatsApp groups, informed the State DIPR.
Fire safety inspection in Peren
Peren, September 22 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS has informed all Government offices, schools and colleges, churches, private buildings (high rise building), markets under Peren District that the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services will be conducting fire safety inspection from September 21 to October 5 as per National Building Code part IV 2016 to avoid fire hazards and incidents. Therefore, all concerned have been requested to kindly extend cooperation during the inspection.
