The 51st Inter-Ward Christmas Cake Race, a cherished annual tradition of the town, was held on December 24 at the town square in Mokokchung. Organised by the Mokokchung Municipal Council, the event saw participation from all 18 wards of the town. In this year’s edition, Alongmen Ward emerged as the winner, followed by Lijaba Lijen and Dilong Wards in second and third places, respectively. The winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and cakes. The first-prize winner received Rs 50,000, while the second and third-prize winners took home Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.
