
SP Mokokchung, Aotula T Imchen along with Monglir, Associate Pastor, MTBA and AKM officials after the launch of ‘Reference and Reading Room’ at AKM office Building, Mokokchung on September 7. The project is an initiation of Ao Students' Conference (AKM) and was formally inaugurated by SP Mokokchung. All competitive examination books from UPSC, CDS, GATE, NET, NPSC, banking and other books are available in the ‘Reference and Reading Room’ along with internet connection. The administration and police personnel took a random and surprise checking of shops as per government directive for eco-friendly cum go green on September 6 at Chozuba. The eco-friendly drive checked the expiry items and usage of single-use plastics. The administration ensured to keep free unhygienic food and essential expiry things in the market. INTACH Nagaland Chapter visited Charis High Academy, Chümoukedima to felicitate Kiutsumong of Class 10, who was selected a National Winner in the India @75: Heritage in Our Hands 2021, painting and essay competition organized by INTACH. 10 National Winners were selected from over 7000 competitors from across the country. The winners were felicitated at a glittering ceremony in New Delhi on July 19. Kiutsumong was unable to attend the award ceremony to receive his award. Therefore, the State Convener and Co-Convener visited the school on receiving his award to felicitate him with a trophy and certificate on September 7.
NCC cadet Yatile Semy of 5th Semester, BA History Department from Don Bosco College, Kohima attended the YEP (Youth Exchange Programme) on August 15 at New Delhi. She met the leading force and other cadets and also the Director General Officer of the NCC. The YEP was attended by the NCC Cadets from 12 countries. Yatile Semy, is an NCC Cadet of Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK), 5th Semester B.A History Department.
