A vermicompost unit was installed at Gamadi Vidya Bharati School, Dhansiripar campus under the guidance of Dr Roben Singh, scientist of ICAR, Medziphema. JSSN Secretary acknowledged ICAR, Medziphema for the scheme. Pankaj Sinha, G Dicoy Rongmei, Nikavi Chishi and teaching staff also attended the programme.

Demonstration on ‘line sowing methods in Soybean’ was conducted at K Hetoi village on July 20 with Demalu Hasnusa, BTM, (Niuland Block), ATMA Dimapur as the resource person. He encouraged the farmers that sowing should be done in lines 45cm-60cm apart and plant to plant distance can be kept from 4cm to 5cm. The sowing depth of soyabean seed should not be more than 3cm-4cm under ideal moisture conditions. Appropriate physical distancing was maintained and COVID-19 safety kits and information pamphlets about precautionary measures were distributed to the 12 farmers present.
