Yamaha Artist Nise Meruno and 4mation have been invited to perform for a private event hosted by the Piramals and Isha Ambani in Mumbai on February 26. It may be noted that Nise has been a regular feature in that circuit and performed for both Isha and her brother's wedding. 4mation will kick start their promo tour in Guwahati on February 24 and 25. The venues are Keiko Lounge and Freemason's.

An interaction between the students of Livingstone Foundation International College, Dimapur and Royal Classes was held on February 23 during which the center manager Sanjay Chakraborty and his team members Simran Thapa and Paban Dey provided career guidance advice related to competitive exams like Banking SBI PO/Clerk, IBPS PO/ Clerk, NPSC, SSC CGL, Railway, Defence & other government jobs, etc. The programme was also attended by all the faculty members including principal of the college. 

The NCC cadets of St Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama and Little Flower School, Kohima affiliated to 1 Nagaland Girls Bn NCC Kohima, under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Kohima visited Good Samaritan Senior Citizens Home, Meriema (Kohima district) on February 22 and interacted with the senior citizens. Essentials such as dry ration, cooking oil, milk, juice, biscuits, wafers, fish, eggs and detergent were given to home.

Norman Putsure College observed its first annual Library Week conducted by the Literature Club from February 20 to 24. Throughout the week, various activities including ‘Blind date with a book,’ display of favourite books by students, story and poetry recitation, bookmark making competition, as well as book review sessions were held. Kevisekhono Whiso was placed in first position, Litenkokla was placed in second position and Shetsala and Tekhingla were placed in third position respectively. Over the course of the week, a book donation drive was held and students and teachers donated books to the library. 

Oren Mozhui has released his new song titled ‘Welcome to Nagaland’ with the objective to attract foreign visitors to Nagaland. The song was officially released by Chinethung Humtsoe, chief functionary at Bethesda Youth Welfare Center, Dimapur. The song is available on YouTube, Reverberation, Session Live, and other musical platforms.

Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur celebrates ‘Matribhasha Diwas’ at the school premises on February 21. Students and teachers paid tribute to their own mother tongue while Sumi song and Ao song were presented by the teachers and language subject teachers highlighted the importance of mother tongue. PVHSS, Principal Monoj Bhattacharjee emphasised on the different linguistic subject opted by the students and how it promotes the preservation and protection of all the languages.
