Chieswema Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) recovered a Maruti Ecco vehicle that had fallen off the road near Zhadima Village, on March 12. K Khriesavilie, Head Pastor Zeizou and his wife were travelling from Kohima to Ziezou in the vehicle when it went out of control and fell 50 meters down the side of the road. On receiving a call from Zhadima Village Chairman, a Recovery Team was sent immediately on the site and vehicle was recovered, the AR stated in a press release on March 13.

In a bid to reach out to the local populace, the 37 Battalion BSF Chedema carried out a series of Civic Action Programme on March 13. Sh Vinod Kumar,  Commandant,  37 BN BSF distributed utility items like chairs,  tables,  cooking utensils,  dustbins and sports kits to  Chedema village,  Chedema Model village and Keyake Colony. Addressing the gathering, Sh Vinod Kumar stressed on the need to maintain cordial relationship with the neighbours. He also assured to assist the locals for any help and assistance in the coming days as well.
