Maj General Gagan Deep, ADG NCC Dte NER inaugurated Microlite Aircraft Simulator at Eastern Christian College Padumpukhuri, Dimapur on November 12. The simulator installed at ECC is first of its kind in the North East Region and is being designed with similar features as the   SW-80 ‘Virus’ Microlite Aircraft on which the cadets will fly. All the switches, controls, instrument panel etc are a carbon copy of the ‘Virus’ Aircraft. Also as part of the grand celebration of the 75th year of Raising Day, NCC Car Rally North East Region made a pit stop at the college premises where the ADG interacted with 630 cadets from Dimapur area.
To promote skill development and entrepreneurship, a free training program on Bamboo Handicrafts, Fruits and Vegetable Dehydration, and Processing is currently taking place in Meluri. The training, sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, is organized by the Nagaland Tools Room & Training Centre. The initiative for this free training was spearheaded by S P Phek, Dr Pritpal Kaur IPS, in collaboration with the Ladies Club and Tizu Club of Meluri.
