Rotary Club of Dimapur hosted the official visit of District Governor, Nilesh Kumar Agarwal on October 14. The District Governor was accompanied by his the first lady Lakshmi Agarwal. The welcome address was delivered by Subir Saha, President, Rotary Club of Dimapur; secretarial report was presented by Amit Sharma with vote of thanks by Monoj Bhattacharjee, President Elect. Asst Governor Zone XVII, Nitin Agarwal also delivered a speech. On October 15, the District Governor accompanied by the first lady, Asst Governor, President of Rotary Club Dimapur, and select members extended a courtesy visit to Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism and Higher Education at his residence in Kohima. 
A one-day field trip was organised by Science Club, Phek Government College to Porba under Sakraba range on October 14. The team visited the solar dryer attached to a private botanical garden owned by an alumnus of PGC, Swuyievezo Dzudou and the National Research Centre on Mithun-ICAR, Porba campus. Students taking Botany paper learned about the uses of various medicinal plants cultivated in the botanical garden. They also collected medicinal plant samples for experimental purpose. Zoology students were briefed on the conservation of Mithun (Bos frontalis), their ecological significance and its role in social, cultural and economic aspects of the indigenous community during the visit to NRC on Mithun, ICAR.
The 2nd Senior Citizens Festival of Praise Concert was organised by Tribal Old Age Home cum Day Care Centre in collaboration with Breeze Women Welfare Society on account of International Day of Older Persons at the Livingstone Foundation International Auditorium on October 15. Several senior citizens from Kohima, Chümoukedima and Dimapur presented melodies. Some of them included Shilu Amri, Ivukhu Chisho, Silas Care Centre Senior Citizens Fellowship, Dr Nicky Kire, Akok Tally, TOAHDCC Senior Citizens, T Lanusosang, Gugs Chishi, Tsüza Imchen, Rev Dirang. Imlitongzuk Amri, Special honour and gift was given to the oldest man Anil Roy, 86 years and oldest woman Purumaya, 90 years present in the event. 
Nagaland (NL) Independent (I) Sainik School Company NCC organised its 11th Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-XI) for the training year 2023-24. During the ten-day camp, the cadets were imparted basic knowledge of weapon training, firing, disaster management, tent pitching, fire fighting, skill development, first aid etc. Conduct of drill, football, volleyball, tug of war and cultural programme competition were the other highlights. A total of 188 cadets participated in the camp. The entire strength was divided into Alpha, Bravo and Charlie companies. Brig P S Sangwan, Gp Cdr NCC Kohima visited the Coy to review camp proceedings. The overall Best Trophy was bagged by Alpha (A) Coy.
