As a part of Poshan Pakhwada celebration, a Healthy Baby Show was organised by Office of the District Programme Officer Dimapur, in collaboration with General Administration and Mission Shakti at Anganwadi Training centre, Diphuphar, Chümoukedima on April 15. The event was a district level programme which aims to promote health and nutrition awareness among parents, importance of early childhood nutrition, regular health checkup and proper hygiene practices. Babies were assessed based on health parameters and overall wellbeing. The show saw participation from the mothers from three projects- offices of Child Development Project Officer Dimapur, Dhansiripar and Medziphema. Subsequent upon resignation tendered by former chairperson of Niuland Town Council (NTC) on health ground, the Niuland Town Council elected V. Samuel Holo as its new chairperson on April 15. The Nomination of new chairperson was supported by 7 elected members out of 9 members. (DIPR Photo)
Food Safety Administration, Kohima Zone organised Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) for Food Business Operators at Para Medical Training Institute on April 14. There were two batches for the training, the first batch was for Restaurant, hotel and caterers, and the second batch was for Manufacturers. The training partner was from M/s Aroma Shiksha Evam Samithi Korba, Chhattisgarh and the trainer was Dr Anup Kumar Tiwari. The next training will be held on April 17, for which the interested Food Business Operators have been informed to approach O/o Chief Medical Officer, Food Safety Section, Kohima.

There training was held in two batches for manufacturers. The participants were from Home Based Food Business Operators, who do baking, pickle, etc business. The training partner was from M/s Aroma Shiksha Evam Samithi, Korba, Chhattisgarh and the FSSAI Empanelled Trainer was Dr Anup Kumar Tiwari.
Under the directive of Nagaland Fire & Emergency Service, the Fire Station Kiphire is observing National Fire Service Week, under the theme “Unite to ignite, a Fire Safe India” from April 14 to 20. The fire personnel Kiphire commenced the week with a cleanliness drive in the Main Town. They will be also conducting a fire evacuation drill at ZPC College, and a live demonstration at Delux Point on April 17. (DIPR Photo)
Norman Putsure College, Chümoukedima, bid farewell to its first batch of B.A. 6th semester students during an event, themed ‘Fairytale’ held on April 12. Nungsangmongla Ozukum, Assistant Professor of History; Managing Director Saneinuo Putsure; and Principal Dr K Timothy Langwangbe spoke during the programme. 
District Planning and Development Board Tuensang held its monthly meeting under the Chairmanship of MLA and Chairman of DPDB, Tuensang, Lima Onen Chang at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang on April 14.The house discussed on the agenda for the traffic regulations at St John Higher Secondary School where the chairman requested the SDO (C) and Land Record Department to oversee the site. The Board also discussed on the basis requirement infrastructure of Sao Chang College and the house raised 16 LCD Projectors for the smart class at Sao Chang College, Tuensang.
