ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) - Don Bosco, SBI Gram Seva programme  Dimapur conducted skill training with five of the adopted villages; Khriezephe, Diezephe, Tsithrongse, Urra & Bade. Under Skill Development, training was carried out to SHGs of Meat & Pickle selling point of Khriezephe & Diezephe at Life Ministry Learning Centre (LMLC) on March 14 and Mushroom cultivation at Mushroom Farmers club, Bade Village through Mushroom Development Foundation (MDF) Guwahati.
Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Strategic Planning Workshop at National Headquarters New Delhi was held from March 10 to 15 to plan Vision 2034 of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. Chubanungla, State Commissioner (B), Er Thepfuzakie Suohu State Secretary, John Tochimong State Organising Commissioner(S) and Kiyakhrienouo Solo ASTC (G) attended the said workshop along with 60 members from BSG national headquarters, WOSM, WAGGGS and State Associations.
Department of Economics, Immanuel College, Dimapur observed World Consumer Rights Day under the theme, ‘Empowering Consumers Through Clean Energy Transitions’ at Cambridge School, Lengrijan, Dimapur on March 15. The students and faculty members led by S Temsusenla Ao, Head of the Economics Department imparted awareness about the importance of clean energy and consumer empowerment to the young minds. Modern Higher Secondary School, Kohima conducted one-day faculty programme on ‘mentoring and counselling’ on March 15 at the school Conference Hall. Resource person Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere Chairman, Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and counselling spoke on the concept of mentoring and counselling, differences between mentoring and counselling, counselling room settings, counselling room settings, core of counselling skills. He further stressed on the importance of Rapport building between the counsellor and the client, empathy, types of empathy and therapy skills, practical session was also conducted for the teachers towards the end of the session.
The students of North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) flagged off their 10-day Rural Camp with 48 students to Rotomi village under Zunheboto District in the presence of Rotomi Village Chairman, church representatives and other leaders on March 14. Rural Camp is an important component of the professional social work training for Master of Social Work (MSW) students. During the stay at Rotomi village, the students will practice field-based tools like participatory Rural Appraisal, along with other activities like home visit, cultural events and sports related activities. Saint John’s School, Diphupar ‘B’ hosted its Investure cum 18th annual sports meet opening ceremony inside the school campus on March 14. The school headmaster, Johnny Abraham delivered the welcome speech while oath taking ceremony was initiated by the School and House captains. The sports week will culminate on March 17.
Ghaspani Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised pipe band display and held a motivational talk on the theme ‘Patriotism and Unity in Diversity’ at SFS Hr Sec School Medziphema, Chümoukedima district on March 14. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) made the peer team visit to St Xavier College, Jalukie on March 9 and 10. The peer team was comprised of Dr Neerja A Gupta, Chairperson & Vice-Chancellor of Sanchi University for Buddhist-INDIC Studies, Prof Lakshmi Narayan Dash, Member Coordinator and Prof Harendra Sinha, Member, Principal, Government Zawinuam, College, Mizoram.  Following the visit, the colleges was Accredited & Grade A with a CGPA score 3.12 on March 14. Shamator Battalion dental unit of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised School Oral Health programme at Straightway mission school, ITC Dan, Noklak district of Nagaland on March 15. The setup consisted of a portable dental clinic in which on spot treatment was provided to the students. Five Students from Khinfu, Myanmar also attended the oral health programme. A hands-on training programme on banana fibre extraction its value addition & vermin-composting was organized by STINER-TFC, SASRD, NU, Medziphema under the initiative of Prof Akali Sema, Project Incharge STINER-TFC, SASRD, NU, Medziphema Campus at Kashanyu Village, Tseminyu District and Zuheshe Village, Niuland District on March 10 and 14 respectively. A total of 75 participants were sensitised through the training.
