Department of Land Resources, Kiphire under PMKSY-WDC 2.O organised International Women’s Day programme at Agape School, Kiphire with students and teachers and women SHG participate the programme. Alben Awomi, WDT gave the keynote address while Agape School Headmaster, Deepak gave the welcome address. Essay, speech and painting were highlights of the day. ‘Lady Birdie’ - an exclusive essential discount corner dedicated to the women of Chümoukedima Town was inaugurated by Dr Dalia Bhattacharjee, Assistant professor, SD Jain Girls College, Dimapur and Ruokuongulie Visezo, Chairman of Ward-2, Chümoukedima Town at Little Hut Office on March 8. The store will have all utility products at minimum 6% Below MRP. The store would have various products like kitchen utilities, garden tools and other essential goods etc. The dedication prayer was led by Manju Malla, Youth Pastor, Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima.

The MA II students, along with two faculties of Department of Psychology and Counselling, St Joseph University, Chümoukedima on account of International Women’s Day organized an outreach programme to Tuesday Bazaar at Chekiye village, Chümoukedima on March 7. The programme was organized with the purpose to celebrate and acknowledge the women in the workforce. .
Department of English, ICFAI University Nagaland celebrated International Women’s Day on March 7 with the theme ‘DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.’ The resource person, Imtimongla Aier, IT Educator stressed on the need to promote women in the fields of technology which will result in more creative solutions and greater potential for innovation, meeting women’s need and promoting gender equity. The event was attended by the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the English department.
An essay writing competition was organised by Gender Champion Club, Modern College, Piphema on account of International Women’s Day with the theme ‘DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality’ on March 7. Dr Vitsou Yano, Principal shared on the significance of the day. Tiajungla and Urmipem Mokung of BA 4th Semester were adjudged first and second respectively. A total of 60 BA 4th Semester students participated in the competition.

Chakabama Battalion of Red Shield Division under the aegis of Spear Corps celebrated International Women's Day with the women of Kezo town and neighbouring villages. During the celebrations Medical Officer of the Battalion interacted with the hard working women of the villages and advised them on various lifestyle diseases, health problems and measures to reduce and mitigate.
