Dr Nayanala Krishna Rao, National President and Bahupati Parmesh, Media Incharge of Mulnivasi Sangh visited Dimapur and had a brief meeting with Dr T Lima Jamir, President, NIPF and Richard P Haolai, General Secretary, Nagaland Indigenous People’s Forum (NIPF) on March 11. Mulnivasi Sangh is a branch of Backward and Minority Communities Employees Federation founded in 1971 as a non-political, non-religious, non-profit, and non-agitating organisation. “Mulnivasi means ‘Native of the Land’. The meeting discussed on the unity of the Native people of India who are known as Adivasi or tribal and are divided into STs, SCs, OBCs. 
Shishoi-Oshom-Entrepreneur Task Force (ETF) cell, Wokha and NSRLM, Wokha in collaboration with the Nagaland Tool-Room & Training Centre, Dimapur organised 10-day training on banana fibre extraction and handicrafts development commenced at Pangti and Elumyo village of Wokha district on March 12. The training aims to empower rural communities through skill development initiatives. North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) in collaboration with Department of Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland held a career guidance session on March 12. It is an initiative of Government of Nagaland to raise awareness on national apprenticeship. Imtisenla Jamir stressed on the value of apprenticeships in promoting skill development and employment opportunities in Nagaland and emphasised on the primary objectives of the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules of 1992. She spoke about career prospects, and decision- making abilities. She clarified the benefits of apprenticeship such as industry-oriented training, earn while leaning and globally recognised certification. Further, Jamir explained the procedures for registering. Overall 200 students took part in programme.
