Mother’s Day was observed today at Good Samaritan Senior Citizens Home, Meriema near Kohima.The programme was coordinated by Assam Rifles as a goodwill gesture and in honor of the enduring strength of mothers and elders in the society. All the residents of the Home received a comprehensive medical check-up conducted by Regimental Medical Officer and team of Nursing Assistants of Assam Rifles. Later, Assam Rifles offered gift hampers to the mothers and residents of the Home.

Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar (LBCD) organised a special programme, honouring  and acknowledging  all the  Mothers’ of the church during the devotional service. Reverend Limhathung Lotha, Pastor LBCD, exhorted the congregation for acknowledging and recognising the worth of a mother not only during ‘Mothers’ Day’ but in every walk of their lives. Rev. 
Nagaland’s Land Resources Advisor G Ikuto Zhimomi along with Mijito Vinito Chishi, Consulate General of India embassy Istanbul at Indian Pavilion, International Coffee Expo  on May 9 at Istanbul, Turkey. Five Naga entrepreneurs also joined the expo.
Participants and officials during Taho Bikers Ride under the theme “Ride Safe, Ride Smart, Wear a Helmet” on May 10 from NPSC Office Kohima area to Naga Heritage Village Kisama. Taho proprietor  Kevi Tsukru informed that this bikers ride  was organised to give awareness on the importance of wearing safety gears while riding a two wheeler. This was initiated in the wake of the increase of two wheeler on the road and the ignorance  of wearing safety gears.
78 Bn CRPF has organized a felicitation ceremony at Battalion Headquarter, Sechu-Zubza, Kohima to honour the outstanding achievements of students, who excelled in the class Xth and XIIth  NBSE examinations.  The event was graced by Sh. Devnath Somkunwar, Commandant, 78 Bn CRPF as Chief Guest, alongwith officers, other ranks of 78 Bn CRPF and parents.
St. Paul School, Purana Bazar, held a programme on Thursday to honour the successful candidates of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025. Of the 24 students who appeared, 23 cleared the examination, bringing pride to the institution.
