DORCAS self reliant project for Police Baptist Church DEF Phek, Women Department, was launched by SP Phek Dr Pritpal Kaur IPS for the occasion of upcoming Mother’s day 2025 . Cultivation of various vegetables and fruits is going on under this project at Police reserve. Vegetable seeds were procured from KVK Phek. DORCAS name was given by Police Baptist Church DEF Phek as a symbol of empowered womanhood, using her skills and resources to uplift others. The objective is to reflect the mission and values of the project encouraging self-sufficiency, charitable service, and transformation through practical help and love.Mokokchung District Review Meeting was held at the conference hall, office of Chief Medical Officer on May 6. Dr Sentizungla Marina Yaden, Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung emphasised on report and record keeping and timely reporting by health units and stated that “manpower is the most important in delivering proper services and to achieve overall goal”. She urged the health workers to attend trainings and meetings and to learn from it and implement it in their place of posting. The meeting reviewed different activities, achievements and grievances of health units in the District. It was attended by CMO, Dy.CMO, programme officers, SMOs MOs, Health workers and DPMU Staff.Eco Warriors Nagaland Team along with the informant handed over a Slow Loris and Asian Leaf Turtle to Nagaland Zoological Park. The team acted promptly upon receiving information of sighting Asian Leaf Turtle Cyclemysdentata from the surrounding of Shitovi Village, Chümoukedima and a Slow Loris at Indisen village, Dimapur. Team Eco Warriors Nagaland rushed to both the locations in coordination with the Zoo officials and rescued the animals which were handed over to the Nagaland Zoological Park.
