78 Bn, CRPF, Zubza procured rechargeable Solar LED Lanterns and agriculture tools for villagers and farmers of Sechuma-Zubza village. These items were distributed to the villagers by Manish Kumar Sachar, DIG (Ops), CRPF Kohima, in the presence of WR Josuah, Commandant- 78 Bn, CRPF, Officers and men of 78 Bn, village council members and the villagers of Sechuma-Zubza in a Civic Action Programme organized in Village Council Hall Sechuma-Zubza on November 28.

On the occasion of International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women, LithronglaTongpi Rutsa Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang has released an awareness movie titled ‘Silent Screams’ at DC office chamber, Tuensang on November 25. The movie was directed by award winning film maker Bendang Walling and jointly produced by District Administration, Sakhi One Stop Centre and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Tuensang. The movie focuses on the pressing issues of domestic violence and it aims to raise awareness and promote discussion around the often violence that many women face in their own home. A joint meeting was convened between the district authorities of Mon (Nagaland) and Sivasagar (Assam) at Augrijan Tea Estate, Naginimora, Nagaland on November 23. “The primary agenda of the meeting was to address the issue of the illegal erection of pillar post on the Nagaland side by Assam authorities,” a DIPR report stated. “The main focus of the joint meeting was to discuss and find a resolution to the matter of the illegal erection of a pillar post by Assam authorities on the Nagaland side,” it stated. Both district authorities from Mon and Sivasagar discussed the concerns surrounding the border issue and worked towards finding an amicable solution, it added. (DIPR Photo)
The 173 Bn CRPF organised Civic Action Programme at its Battalion HQ located at Airfield, Dimapur on November 28. During the programme, water storage tanks, solar lamps and sports items were distributed to Eklavya Model Residential School Diphupar, Life Foundation School Chümoukedima, Cosmopolitan School Chümoukedima, Chalkot Youth Club, High Lander Youth Club of Chümoukedima and Chümoukedima Village Baptist Church and beneficiaries from Diphupar village, Chümoukedima Village and those residing near land allotted to 173 BN CRPF for its Battalion Camping Site in Chümoukedima. Commandant of 173 Bn CRPF, Ashok Kumar Yadav addressed the function.
MGM Higher Secondary School who represented Dimapur district in the State Level Parliamentary Quiz Competition organised by Directorate of School Education, Nagaland won the first position. The competition was held at ATI, Kohima on November 24. The school team consisted of Class 11 students - Anok Konyak, Shoawang Konyak and Mechibeni Mozhui. The state champions were awarded with citation certificate and Rs 18000 cash Award. During the morning assembly, the school honoured the winners on November 28. Rev Fr Giju George, Vice President and Reji Abraham, Principal spoke on the occasion and congratulated the team for their achievement.
