A mass cleaning of the landmark tourist site of the state was conducted jointly by Kohima Rural division and Urban division PHED and in collaboration with Sanitation and WSSO, PHED on September 27 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama. The cleanliness drive was attended by Phesama Village Council, WATSAN Committee Phesama, Phesama Youth Organisation, Phesama Students Union along with various concerned citizens. This cleanliness drive was conducted to commemorate the National Campaign Swachhta Hi Seva on the theme ‘Garbage free India.’ The event was attended by E. Mhonbemo Patton, Principal Secretary PHED and Er. Repang Longkumer, Chief Engineer (HOD) PHED along with various departmental officials. 
A programme for recognition of Sanitation Workers (Safai Mitra) was held at the Directorate of Public Health Engineering Department, Kohima on September 29. This programme was held in commemoration of Swachhta Hi Seva – a national campaign under the theme ‘Garbage Free India.’ During the programme, six dedicated and sincere sanitation workers (Safai Mitra) were awarded with incentives and citations by Er N Thsathrichem Sangtam, Chief Engineer, Sanitation & WSSO PHED. This was stated by Thepfulie, State IEC Consultant, Sanitation & WSSO, PHED, Nagaland.
As part of its Youth and Civil Society Organizations’ Campaign 2023 activities, AIDA-Child Friendly Dimapur organised a street play at Sovima junction in collaboration with Tetso College on September 29. During the event, around 12 students from Social Work Department, Tetso College enacted a play to create awareness on the rights of the children with special emphasis on Article 24 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. 
Sazolie College celebrated its 16th annual cultural day at Vinizono hall on September 27. The event featured display of traditional attire. A highlight of the event was the cultural show competition of different tribes and cultural groups, including Chakhesang, Lotha, Sumi, Angami and Zeliangrong, Gorkha, United Cultural Troupe, Eastern Nagas, and Ao. In the competition, winners emerged in four categories. The Eastern Nagas won in drama and games categories, Gorkha secured the title in the dance category, while Angami and Zeliangrong claimed the position in the song category.
A team of 10 students from St Joseph University, Nagaland led by Dr Moameren Pongen, Assistant Professor attended the G20 University Connect Finale programme at Bharat MandapamIn New Delhi. The G20 University Connect Engaging Young Minds was an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of External Affairs Government of India in collaboration with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) to build the understanding of India's G20 Presidency among India's Youth and enhance their participation in different G20 event. Under the initiative, St Joseph University, Nagaland, was one of the Universities selected to organise a lecture series on April 20.
