The Sumi Baptist Convention organised the All Sumi Reverend Convention 2022 at Satakha Town Baptist Church on September 6 and 7 with the purpose of fostering unity and harmony among the Sumi Churches. The convention was attended by 97 Reverends from every Sumi Churches of various denominations. Rev Mulato ES SBAK Aizuto and Dr Phughoto, ES WSBAK were invited as speakers. Welcome address was delivered by Er Atoka Aye, Chairman Deacon Board, STBC and Dr Hokishe Yeptho Chairman Emeritus exhorted the congregation.

The SAMARTH training programme under the scheme for capacity building in the textile sector was inaugurated at Nerhema village by Ruunyu Kenguruse, Head GB of Nerhema village, Kohima in wood carving on September 8. The programme is organized by the Handicrafts Service Centre, Nagaland under the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Government of India, Ministry of Textiles. It will culminate on November 9. Rev T Rutsa of Nerhema village, T Rollee Vareishim, Senior Assistant Director (H), HSC, Kohima, Rajib Chandra Roy, Handicrafts Promotion Officer, HSC, Kohima attended the inaugural function with the Master trainer Neiphrezolie Semu, and two training assistants Visedelie Chatsu and Kereivilie Chatsu with 30 trainees.

As part of the Life Skill Subject, Charity School Kohima conducted an awareness programme on Single Use Plastic ban as per NBSE Notification. The Class 10 students supervised by Assistant teacher Veduto and Diethozo distributed 500 free paper bags to the shops and vendors on September 7. It was conducted with the objective to inform and educate the students as well as the parents and community about the impacts of disposal of wastes from plastic products usage of plastic and plastic free campus.
