
RLJP issues clarification
DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 3 (MExN): The Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) today issued a statement clarifying the difference between the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) and the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). A press release from the RLJP Nagaland President, RL Nelson said that his party has split away from the LJP (Ram Vilas) and is now functioning under the leadership of Pasupati Kumar Paras, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries since 2021 with 5 MPs. It informed that the RLJP is a member of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre. It further said that the RLJP has a Nagaland State unit with its executive members and primary members.
Kohima Excise seizes IMFL
Kohima, February 3 (MExN): Basing on intelligent input, the Kohima Excise EEM duty party lead by AIE Kezhasolie Kehie intercepted a truck bearing registration number NL07A 7184 on February 3. On checking the vehicle, the team recovered around 7000 litre of assorted IMFL concealed under bags of wheat bran, stated a press release issued by Vithoselie Terhuja, Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Kohima. The total value of the seized articles in the market is estimated to be Rs 40 lakh. In this connection, one person has been arrested for violation of NLTP Act 89 and booked U/s 44(e) of NLTP Act 1989.
Former MLA S Chuba joins NDPP
Kohima, February 3 (MExN): Former MLA S Chuba Longkumer has joined Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) in Mokokchung on Thursday. Following his joining the party, the NDPP President, Chingwang Konyak has appointed S Chuba as member of the advisory board of the party for the tenure 2021-2024. “This comes into immediate effect from the date of issue,” the order stated.
NSCN (IM) condoles
Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has condoled demise of Sergeant Thotmaso Shimphrui bearing Army No.42600/11 of Phungtha Brigade, Naga Army from Komlaching village under WTR on February 2. The NSCN (IM) MIP in a condolence message said that he joined national service on June 12, 2011, and subsequently served the Naga nation with dedication, sincerity and loyalty till his last breath. He served the nation with great dignity and dedication. “The precious service rendered him for the cause of the nation shall always be cherished and recorded in the pages of Naga history,” it stated while conveying condolence to the bereaved family members.
NSCN/GPRN (YA) not to involve in state election
Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (YA) has made a declaration to the Naga public that “it will not be involved in the upcoming Nagaland State Assembly election in any way whatsoever.” The MIP NSCN/GPRN (YA) also stated that “any members involving will be heavily prosecuted as per the discipline of the party.”

Obeto Tuccu, Secretary, Union Territory in a press release has informed the rightful owner to claim it by producing the original documents within seven days from the date of this publication.
