The project coordinator for Persons with Disabilities, Care and Support Society and the president of Aliba Disabled Peoples Organization thanked all who extended their support during the social work.

In the first session, Kevinguto Khate, Asst. Professor, NIT Nagaland spoke on ‘Career options with an Engineering Degree’, a press release from Rokovi Kruse, President, CSU and Mhalevilie Medoze, Info & Publicity Secretary, CSU said.Lhoukuo Chüsi, Asst. Mission Director, RMSA Nagaland shared on ‘Importance and Scope of Science Education’. Earlier in the day, Razouviü Kimho, Treasurer, CSU, chaired the function, while Rokovi Kruse, President CSU welcomed the participants. More than 50 students registered for the seminar, it informed.
With an objective to create awareness on the potentials of mini hydro projects in Nagaland, training on mini hydro projects was jointly conducted by NESREADM in partnership with YouthNet for the unemployed youth of Nagaland from July 23 to 27 at YouthNet’s main office in Kohima. It was sponsored by USAID with CLEAN as the principal implementers. Department of New & Renewable Energy (NRE) and Nagaland Empowerment of People through Energy Development (NEPeD Nagaland) facilitated the training as resource person and faculties.
Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Longleng, Tamlu block inaugurated a betel nut farm school in Tamlu village on July 20. Bongjai was appointed as the farm school teacher. Block Technology Manager Moasunep explained the concept of farm school and the role of farm school teacher. He also elaborated on the benefits and economic aspects of betel nut farming. Meanwhile, the farm school teacher trained the farmers on nursery management and method of transplanting.
Phom Baptist Attoi Dimapur youth camp was held from July 20-22 at GCYM Sovima, Dimapur under the theme ‘Touch me Lord’ (Isaiah 6:7). Y Nuklu Phom, former PBCA Executive Secretary was the speaker of the programme, which was attended by 148 youths and 10 church board members.
Excel School of Music, Medziphema conducted a summer concert under the theme ‘Your child performs’ at TBC Medziphema. The program was chaired by Khriephreo, Chairpreson, Excel School of Music. The school offers classes in Piano, Guitar, Vocal, Violin in collaboration with Trinity College London.
Rajeshwari Karuna School, Tuli organised an exposure tour to Longleng Town and Tamlu Town from July 21 to 23 with the theme ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat’. The students performed musical drama, chorals, choreography and enthralled the congregation with powerful worship songs, a press release stated. The tour was organised with an aim to showcase the students’ talents as well as enhance their self-confidence.
