Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman graced the 33rd Annual Convocation of the Vellore Institute of Technology at the campus on September 29. A total of 6277 candidates received their degree certificates during the convocation.

The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Chiechama, Kohima held it Fresher’s Day for the D.El.Ed Teacher Trainees (2018-2020) batch on September 28 with Kezhalenuo Kesiezie, Additional Director SCERT, Nagaland as the Special Guest.

A group of 53 BSc. Agriculture Students from SASRD, Medziphema led by Associate Professor Mary Odyuo visited the Head Office Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre, Dimapur on September 28 and discussed about the programmes and vision of centre. The centre is one of the oldest society NGO working with people in difficult circumstances as well as rural people, founded in 1987. The chief functionary W. Chenithung Humtsoe presented the programmes and vision of the centre to the students.
