Nagaland: NFHRCC draws PWD’s attention to foothills road

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 24 (MExN): Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has drawn the Nagaland PWD’s attention with regard to the long delayed foothill road. With the working season looming, the NFHRCC asked the PWD to issue work order at the earliest and to “qualified contractors,”

In a press release issued on February 24, it said, “Award the contract works appropriately in consonance with the prevailing SOR as approved by the government in order not to compromise with the quality of work.”

It further called for closer coordination between the NFHRCC, the contractors and the Executive Engineers “to harmonize the efficacy of the works to be executed.”

It also urged the firm – M/S Shohe and Sons, which is building the Doyang Bridge at Liphanyan – to complete construction “at the earliest so as to avoid unnecessary hassle, at the same time, not to compromise with the quality of works done.”
