Nagaland: Patton visits CHC Bhandari and Maratchu village

Wokha, June 3 (MExN): Legislator in charge of COVID-19 for Wokha district, Dy CM and BLP leader Y Patton visited Bhandari, Community Health Center (CHC) and Maratchu village located in the foothills of Wokha district on June 3. 

 

The Dy CMO Media Cell in a press release stated that Patton interacted with the administration, police, health workers and CSOs and took firsthand reports of the current situation there. 

 

He instructed the law enforcement agencies and local organizations concerned to put a check on drug peddlers  and bootleggers who would try to smuggle in contraband taking advantage of the situation and sneak in and out Merapani in Assam border which is COVID-19 hotspot. 

 

To encourage those involved in selfless duties, the Dy CM gave monetary assistance to CHC Bhandari, Maratchu Village Council, Maratchu Students Union and LLRPO. Earlier, in the morning, Patton also handed over PPEs that included rubber boots, gloves, masks and hand sanitizers to DC Wokha donated by Nagaland Women Voluntary Association. 

 

The Dy CM was accompanied by DC Wokha, SP, CMO, LSU officials and BJP Wokha Unit led by its president.
