PHC Yongnyah under CMO Longleng held a dedication programme for new ambulance provided by the Department of Health and Family Welfare on October 9.

Longleng, October 12 (MExN): PHC Yongnyah under CMO Longleng held a dedication programme for new ambulance provided by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland on October 9.
The office of the CMO Longleng in a press release stated that the programme was attended by the medical officer of PHC Yongnyah and its medical staffs, HCMC chairman and committee members, Council members of Yongnyah, Shamshang and Chingong villages, Pastors of YVBC and YTBC, GBs and DBs of Yongnyah area, students’ body members and other dignitaries of the area.
The programme opened with invocation prayer by the pastor of YTBC, ambulance dedication prayer was delivered by the pastor of YVBC and short speeches were delivered by Yongnyah Village Head GB, HCMC Chairman and Medical Officer, PHC Yongnyah.
The medical officer, on behalf of Yongnyah Area Public and staffs of PHC Yongnyah acknowledged the fulfillment of the demand of much needed new ambulance vehicle and extended heartfelt gratitude and special thanks towards Pangnyu Phom, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, BS Nganlang, MLA of 49 AC Tamlu, Longleng, Dr Manyau Phom, Deputy Director and Higher officials of Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland; Dr Obangjungla, Chief Medical Officer, Longleng; Dr Imnameren, DPO and the high officials of CMO office Longleng; Dr Manan Phom, Medical Officer, PHC Yongnyah and Yongnyah Village Council for being the protagonists toward this fulfillment.
He thanked the public leaders, student bodies, church leaders and members, well wishers and general public for their constant support and prayers.
The doctor also highlighted the gathering on how to make use of the ambulance service and the need of community participation for optimal functioning of the hospital and satisfactory delivery of health services. He however lamented the lack of proper ambulance driver which creates big hurdles in delivering adequate Ambulance service performance.
The Head GB and Village Chairman lauded the Department and Higher Officials for delivering the new ambulance vehicle which will serve to relief the hardship of transportation of seriously sick and emergency patients from the Yongnyah Block Area. The programme concluded through a mass benediction prayer.
