Kohima, January 26 (MExN): The Nagaland Police felicitated the police officers on being conferred the President's Police Medal (PPM) for distinguished service and Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service on January 26.
The award recipients include Etsimongo Ngullie, DIG (Range/ NAP), Mokokchung; Israel G Xuivi, Deputy Commandant 6th NAP BN Tizit; and Abel Jonsuo Humtsoe, UB Inspector, INT HQ, Kohima, stated a DIPR report.
Etsimongo Ngullie, DIG (Range/ NAP), Mokokchung, Nagaland has been awarded President's Police Medal (PPM) for distinguished service on the occasion of Republic Day. This medal is awarded to officers who have served at least 25 years, on the basis of merit in the State/central police or security organization.
Estimongo Ngullie is a 1991 NPS batch and conferred IPS in 2018. In his 32 years of service, he has served the Police Department in various capacities as SDPO, Asst Comdt, DySp (Crime), Addl SP, Deputy Commandant, SP (PHQ), SP Security, Commandant of various units and is presently discharging his duties as DIG Range/NAP Mokokchung.
He has also served the Nagaland Government in various capacities prior to joining the Police Service as a judicial magistrate in Tuensang, Officer on special duty, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat.
Israel G Xuivi, Deputy Commandant 6th NAP BN Tizit, Nagaland has been awarded the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service. This medal is awarded for valuable service characterized by resource and devotion to duty.
Israel joined the Police service on 7th November 1997 as ABSI sports, he was promoted to ABI in 2002, DySP in 2007 and Dy Comdt 2017. Israel G. Xuivi is also a skilled martial artist, recognized on an international platform he holds the title of Grandmaster, and is the founder of Naga Kiti-do. On August 19, 2022, he was inducted in the Taekwon-do Hall of Fame at the historic ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency at 2 Exchange Palace, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA.
Abel Jonsuo Humtsoe, UB Inspector, INT HQ, Kohima, Nagaland has been awarded the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service. This medal is awarded for valuable service characterized by resource and devotion to duty.
Abel Jonsuo Humtsoe joined the police service on April 13, 2000. In his 23 years of service, he has served the department in various capacities; he was Conferred Governor's Commendation certificate on August 15, 2010 and promoted to UBI on December 15, 2014.
