Nagaland Police makes major reshuffle

Kohima, August 13 (MExN): In a major reshuffle, the Home department of the Nagaland government on Friday notified transfer and posting of personnel on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board.

The reshuffle included transfer and posting of 24 IPS/NPS officers, while 8 Deputy Commandants were promoted to the rank of Commandant/Superintendent of Police. One ASP (PHQ) was also promoted and transferred as DCP Zone-II Dimapur.

A total of 9 SDPO/Deputy SPs/Assistant Commandants were also promoted to the rank of Addl SPs/Dy Commandants.

Meanwhile, 11 NPS officers in the rank of Additional SPs/Dy Commandants and 29 NPS officers in the rank of Asst Commandants/SDPOs/Dy SP/ ACP have also been transferred from their present place of posting.

The transfer and posting of 3 Inspectors (NPTO) along with 51 ABIs/UBIs was also notified by the department.

The notification also included the order for transfer and posting of 3 Dy SP (MT)/ABI (MT).

As per the notification issued by Principal Secretary (Home) Abhijit Sinha, handing and taking over of charge should be completed within 7 days from the date of issue of the notification.

Meanwhile, on recommendation of the Police Establishment Board, the Home department also notified to release “Inspector General of Police, carrying the pay scale of pay level -14 (Super Time Scale) in the pay Matrix of IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016 with effect from 01-01-2021” to Richard Yimto, IPS (NL-2003).

The department also notified the promotion of Myinthungo Lotha Dy SP (NPTO) Tuensang to the rank of Addl SP (NTPO).  “On promotion, Shri Myinthungo Lotha is posted as Addl.SP (NPTO), WHQ, Wokha)”, the notification read.
