DEF Kiphire clinches Bugle competition
CHÜMOUKEDIMA, NOVEMBER 13 (MExN): Day 3 of the Nagaland Police Duty Cum Sports Meet 2024 saw continued action in both football and volleyball on November 13.
In football, six exciting matches were played between various police groups. In the first match of the day, 4 NAP triumphed over 14 NAP (IR) with a commanding 4-1 victory. Following that, 7 NAP edged out DEF Mon 2-1 in a closely contested match. CP DMR also secured a 2-1 win against IG (INT), while 1 NAP defeated DEF MKG 3-1.
In other matches, DEF KMA outplayed 12 NAP (IR) with a 3-1 scoreline, and DEF TSG clinched a 2-0 victory over DEF WKA.
In volleyball, CP DMR won their match against 4 NAP (25-18, 25-19), while DEF MKG defeated DEF ZBTO (25-10, 25-15). DEF KPRE outplayed 7 NAP (25-16, 25-23), and 8 NAP triumphed over 4 NAP (25-16, 25-22). 14 NAP (IR) secured a win against DEF PRN (22-25, 25-24, 25-23), and CP DMR once again proved their dominance with a victory over DEF MKG (25-17, 25-18).
Additionally, the Bugle competition, a highlight in the duty items category, saw participation from all police units. DEF Kiphire clinched first place, followed by 1st NAP in second, and DEF Phek in third.
Meanwhile, Convenor of XL-NPM-2024 informed that the official Opening ceremony will be held on November 14 at NAPTC ground at 11 AM.
