
Kohima, February 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Police Risk Insurance Scheme (NPRIS), a welfare Society under Nagaland Police Department has sanctioned payments to the tune of Rs 1,16,65,407 (Rupees one crore sixteen lakh sixty five thousand four hundred seven) to nominees of 98 deceased personnel/employees of the Department on February 2.
The Department has cleared the pending death cases due from NPRIS w.e.f. November 2020, stated a press release issued by Rupin Sharma, IPS, DGP Nagaland.
Meanwhile, it also stated that “due to oversight,” some of these matters of NPRIS had been pending for more than two years, which is regretted. “In future, we shall endeavour to clear NPRIS dues within 48 hours in death cases or on the last date of retirement for retirees.”
The staff/nominees are requested to check whether the payments have been received. If any person has been left due to oversight, the PHQ may be contacted, it stated.
