Nagaland Polls: Residence of Patton’s personal assistant allegedly razed

The residence of the personal assistant (PA) of Y Patton, the incumbent Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister and the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)’s candidate from the 37-Tyui Assembly Constituency under Wokha district, was allegedly razed by unknown miscreants.
Meanwhile, Patton termed the incident as “deeply disturbing” and urged the Wokha Police for thorough investigation.
“The razing of my PA’s residence at Chukitong by unknown miscreants is deeply disturbing. My thoughts are with him & his family,” he updated on his official Twitter account.
“The safety of our citizens is of utmost importance to us and I urge Wokha Police to conduct a thorough investigation into this,” he added.
The incident had not been independently verified by The Morung Express and details are awaited.
The 37-Tyui AC is set for a four-way contest for the elections to the 14th NLA scheduled on February 27.
The other candidates are Senchumo Lotha of Janata Dal (United); Y Kikon of Rashtriya Janata Dal; and Hayithung Tungoe Lotha as Independent.
