DC & DEO, Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, has informed polling personnel of DEF and NAP who have applied for postal ballot to produce ID card or any other documents issued by the government agencies for identification at the designated facilitation centre to collect and cast the postal ballot.
Zunheboto: DC & DEO, Zunheboto, Tridibesh Roy, IAS has informed all owners/drivers of the vehicles requisitioned for the conduct of General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly to report at the local ground, Zunheboto on February 23 from 8:00 pm onwards. Any person who contravenes any order under Section 160, 162 shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may be extended to one year or with fine or with both, as per section 167 of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951, stated the order.
Peren: DC & DEO, Peren, Smita Sarangi, IAS, has in a circular informed all police personnel under Peren district, polling duty personal registered as voters in other district and all Government employees under Peren district requisitioned for election duty as Sector Officer, Flying Squad Team members, Static Surveillance Team members, Video Surveillance Team members, Expenditure Monitoring Team members, Block Level Officer etc., and all employees from the polling personnel who have applied the Form 12, for issue of Postal Ballot to be physically present along with valid identity proof on the following dates at Town Hall, Peren: February 19 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and February 20 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The circular further clarified that all Postal Ballot for the aforementioned employees will be issued only at the above mentioned location and not through any other means.
Mon: DC & DEO, Mon, Thavaseelan K. IAS, has informed all the polling personnel registered as voters in Mon district and all Government employees under Mon district requisitioned for election duty as Sector Officers, Video Surveillance Team Members, Expenditure Monitoring Team Members, Webcasting Personnel, office staff of DC/ADC/SDO/EAC offices etc., who have applied for Postal Ballot via Form 12 to be physically present along with valid Government identity proof on 22/02/2018 and 23/02/2018 at the DC’s office, Mon between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm to receive and cast their Postal Ballots.
The circular further clarified that Postal Ballots will be issued/dispatched only at the designated location mentioned above and not through any other means. It is mandatory for electors to cast their votes at the facilitation centre set up at the venue.
Further, polling duty personnel registered as voters in other districts are to receive and cast their Postal Ballots only on 22/02/2018 between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the same venue.
Kohima: DC & DEO Kohima has informed all concerned Government employees drafted for Election Duty for the forthcoming NLA election 2018 that the third round of training for all the polling personnel will be held at Kohima College at 10:30 am.
The Training Schedules are as follows: Training for Presiding Officer, 1st Polling Officer and Additional Polling Personnel for VVPAT will be held on February 22; 2nd Polling Officers, 3rd Polling Officer and Grade IV will be held on February 23.
The DC has directed all concerned polling personnel to attend the training without fail. Necessary action will be taken against the absentees as per the Representation of the People’s Act, 1950 and Conduct of Election Rules, 1961. Facilitation Centre for all the polling personnel will be available for clarification of queries and doubts at DC Office Conference Hall from February 24 and 25 at 11:00 am.
Polling personnel who have applied Postal Ballot has further been informed that Facilitation Centre for casting of Postal Ballot will be open at Training Hall on February 22 and 23.
The Officer-in-charge of Transport for Election Duty and SDO (C) Sadar Kohima has informed all concerned Head of Department/Officers/Drivers under Kohima district whose Office/attached vehicles have been requisitioned for election duty and were to report at Local Ground, Kohima on February 19 at 12:00 noon and has failed to report on the said date have been re- directed to report immediately on February 20 at 8:00 AM without fail. The vehicles in good condition along with driver should report as directed above. Action will be initiated as per provision of Law for erring Officers and Drivers. (DIPR)
