Advisor, Prisons, Printing & Stationery, Government of Nagaland, H Haiying commended that introducing digital attendance for the prisons fraternity was a remarkable feat in the age of growing towards science and technological advancement. He remarked this during the launch of Prison Staff Attendance App which was done in collaboration with Excellogics Tech Solutions Pvt Limited, Kohima at District Jail, Kohima on September 19.

“Today as we grow and progress in the age of science and technology,” he said “it was a great feat that digital attendance has been developed.” The Advisor expressed hope that the introduction of the new app and software will attendance of the staffs will be properly and accurately maintained. It will also help in administration of jails, he added.

Haiying encouraged prisons fraternity to work harder with sincerity and dedication towards your responsibility. 

Rupin Sharma, DG, (Prisons & HG, CD& SDRF in his welcome address said biometric attendance system has its own loopholes be it software, fingerprints or replacement of machine issues among few.

However, in the new staff attendance app, one does not have to buy biometric machine all the time. With the help of one’s smartphones, everybody can download the app from Google Play Store and scan the QR code to mark attendance. Additionally, the system will record and show ones real-time location, time and photo and one can mark attendance on one’s own shift. For the staffs without smartphones, thay can make use of the jail’s smartphone. 

Also, the app can be monitored from the Prisons directorate. The DG also informed that in collaboration with Excellogics, an app for prison patrolling within the jail is being developed and will be launched soon. 

Zhalhouvi-e Nagi, Excellogics Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd, Kohima while presenting on the application said that Prison Staff Attendance App is a mobile app along with an admin portal that aims to provide a comprehensive attendance management system that can processes hassle free and provide a seamlessly integrated system for monitoring and tracking the employee's attendance. 

“Some benefits of the app include monitoring and tracking attendance, provide accurate time records, is a reliable, secure and effective attendance system. Further it is encrypted with QR technology and GPS mapping system and is a replacement for paper based timesheets,” she added.
