Nagaland Private School body joins NISA

Dimapur, November 13 (MExN): All Nagaland Private School Association (ANPSA) has joined the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) and took membership on November 11, 2017. NISA national mid-year review meeting held in New Delhi from November 11 was attended by the president of ANPSA Bithungo Kikon and Leo David, an executive member.

The event started with a welcome address by the president of NISA, Kulbhushan Sharma. He gave a brief introduction about NISA saying that NISA is a platform that brings together budget private schools (BPS) from across the country to give them a unified voice to address their concerns about regulatory challenges and to facilitate their quality improvement. As of now including ANPSA, NISA represent 19 states including 27 state associations with 55,000 schools across the country with the total strength of 22 million school children.  

A press note issued by Bithungo Kikon, President, ANPSA stated that the event addressed the issues and concerns of problems and challenges faced by private schools in the country, reforms in the existing examination pattern, student's health and exploring educational model practiced in Finland. The programme was followed by intense discussions and questions and answers session by the participants.
