Nagaland records increasing use of e-services

•    Renewal of ILP through online mode soon
•    Enable online applications for ST and BT certificates

Kohima, July 28 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Secretary, J Alam, IAS held a meeting on e-services with the Departments of Home, IT&C and Commissioner, Nagaland at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Kohima on July 28.

It was appraised in the meeting that there is increasing use of the following online services:

•    NPSC – over 40,000 applications processed since 2018

•    Online Scholarship – 53,666 (2019) and 41,680 (2020) applications received

•    Online ILP (Tourist) – 8,971 applications received and 5,509 ILPs issued since November 2019

A DIPR report stated that as an enhancement to the existing online ILP for tourists, a module to enable renewal of ILP through online mode would be added.

In order to improve online service delivery in the State, it was decided to enable online applications for Schedule Tribe and Backward Tribe Certificates through the eDistrict Portal soon. Necessary training of District officials will be conducted through online modules for the same, it said. 

The pilot implementation of e-Office in the Civil Secretariat was also discussed during the meeting.
