A total of 6 COVID-19 deaths were reported on August 11 in Nagaland, taking the death toll in the State to 577.
According to an update from the State Health and Family Welfare department, in the past 24 hours, 3 deaths were reported in Kohima, 2 in Dimapur and 1 in Mokokchung.
Meanwhile, with 64 out of 2,269 samples testing positive for COVID-19, the State registered a low positivity rate of 2.40 % on Wednesday. The new cases were reported from Dimapur (22), Kohima (8), Mokokchung (15), Longleng (5), Mon (4), Tuensang (2), Wokha (5) and Zunheboto (3). With this, the State’s total caseload increased to 28,875.
Further, the State’s recovery numbers also saw a rise with 78 new recoveries reported from Dimapur (16), Kiphire (5), Kohima (32), Longleng (3), Mokokchung (13), Mon (6) and Tuensang (3).
The recovery tally at present is 26,101.
There are 1,351 active COVID-19 cases in the State at present, out of which, 74 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 1,188 are under home isolation.
