Nagaland reports 111 fresh COVID-19 cases

A total of 111 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Nagaland on Saturday, taking the number of active cases to 1,150. Nagaland Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom informed on Twitter that 63 of the new cases were reported from Kohima District while 48 were from Dimapur. Another 46 patients who were previously infected with the virus have now recovered and were released on Saturday, the minister said. Three of the recovered cases were reported in Kohima while 43 were from Dimapur, he added.  

Nagaland recorded a total of 6,429 infections out of which 5207 have recovered. As of 3:00 pm on October 3, the number of fatalities stood at 17, of which 12 were confirmed COVID deaths and five were described as “not COVID related.” Five other deaths were under review. As many as 50 cases were designated as “migrated,” but did not specify where. Out of the 1,150 active cases, 44 cases were categorised as mild symptomatic, four as moderate while the rest were asymptomatic.
