Nagaland reports 73 new COVID-19 cases, 4 fatalities

Kohima, August 1 (PTI): Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally rose to 27,945 on Sunday as 73 more people tested positive for the infection, while four fresh fatalities pushed the state’s Coronavirus death toll to 570, a health bulletin said. Kohima district registered the highest number of new cases at 39, followed by Dimapur (17) and Mokokchung (9), it said. Dimapur recorded the highest number of fresh fatalities at two, followed by one each in Kohima and Tuensang districts. Nagaland now has 1,344 active cases, while the total number of recoveries increased to 25,244 as 51 more people were cured of the disease in the last 24 hours. As many as 787 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states. The recovery rate among Coronavirus patients now stands at 90.33%. The state has tested 2,64,625 samples for COVID-19 and inoculated 6,17,990 people thus far.
