Nagaland: Secretariat and Directorate employees asked to get vaccinated or get tested every 15 days

Dimapur, July 17 (MExN): All staffers in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and Directorates will be required to be vaccinated or produce COVID-19 negative test reports in order to attend office.

A decision to this effect was taken by the state’s High Powered Committee on COVID-19 in its meeting on July 16, Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam informed in an order on Saturday.

As per the order, unvaccinated staffers will have to produce COVID-19 negative test reports by getting tested after every 15-day interval through either RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT on self payment basis as per government approved rates.

“The salaries of those who have not taken a single dose of vaccine against COVID-19 or who have failed to furnish COVID-I 9 negative test report will be stopped beyond July 31, 2021 and they will not attend office. The period of absence of such employees will be treated as leave without pay,” the Chief Secretary’s order stated.

Until further notice, Administrative Head of Departments and Head of Departments have been directed to enforce the directive in their respective departments and submit reports to the Home Department on or before the 15th of every month with details of vaccination status or submission of COVID-19 negative test reports for all employees, as well as the salaries deducted on account of the staff/employees concerned availing leave without pay, the order stated.
