DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): Team Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) clinched a total of five gold and two silver medals in the Men and Women Cadet categories at the ongoing AITWPF 12 National Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2024 held in Dehradun.

In the Cadet Men’s category, Mulukhro Nakro secured gold in the 66 kg weight class, while Kevilekho Peki and Nubasa Rhakho followed suit, winning gold in the 59 kg and 62 kg categories, respectively. Mulübi Dzüdo brought home a silver medal in the 59 kg category.

The Cadet Women’s category also saw remarkable performances, with Külüngolü Nakro and Khrielhounuo Thevo each winning gold in the 42 kg and over 60 kg categories. Vetavolu Puyo-o earned a silver medal in the +60 kg category.

The medal ceremony for the day’s winners will take place on a later date, allowing time to honor the achievements of the athletes. Competitions in the Senior categories for both men and women are set to continue until October 6.

The NWA has urged all Nagas to keep the team in their prayers as they compete in the remaining events.
