Nagaland Spelling Bee Competition 2021 cancelled

Kohima, September 2 (MExN): The Fountain Club (FC), on September 2, informed that the annual Nagaland Spelling Bee Competition cannot be conducted this year too owing to COVID-19 risk factors.

The competition, an annual event jointly organized by the FC and State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT), been held 8 times so far; the last in 2019 with The Morung Express and Crystal Cable as media partners and Ramietect as IT Partners.

However, owing to the pandemic situation the event was cancelled in 2020, informed a press release issued by the club President, S Kevi Hibo and General Secretary, Eyozol Pucho.

It further informed that when situation improves, it shall continue with the competition “as it is evidently beneficial for the students and their future in the process of learning.”

The club also urged upon the students to continue learning the words and practice as they would prepare for a competition because excelling in words really does give “the Learning Edge”.
