Nagaland State BJP asks units to complete booth-level committees

Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The Nagaland State BJP Unit has reminded its District and Mandal Presidents to complete their booth-level committees by the end of November.

“As the party high command has clearly directed the State Unit to launch the "Karyakarta Sammelan" by first week of December,” a press release from the Media Cell BJP Nagaland informed.

The Media Cell stated that the recent routine visit of the National General Secretary (Organisation) Ramlal was in connection to organisational strengthening from the State level to District-Mandal level and to Booth-level committees. “He has directed all the District in- charges and State officials to conduct tour in order to monitor and coordinate with the booth level committees process,” it added.

While addressing the booth level committees in Dimapur, Ramlal told the workers that the Party’s duty is to disseminate the right message to people in the grassroots that BJP’s main agenda is to deliver development only, the release stated.

Admitting difficulties faced by workers at the grassroots over claims that the BJP is against Christians/minorities etc., Ramlal alleged that this was all engineered by vested- interested sections/ group of people with an ulterior motive to stop the growth of BJP.

He insisted that BJP is purely a political party bearing true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as established by law and to the principles of socialism, secularism and democracy and would uphold the Sovereignty, Unity and Integrity of India.

The State BJP’s Media Cell on its part argued that the party stands for “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” (all inclusive growth/development) and aims in establishing a democratic state for all citizens irrespective of caste, creed or sex, political, social.

On Monday, the BJP Nagaland also held an emergency meeting at the residence of its President, Visasolie Lhoungu, in Dimapur to deliberate on the modalities for organising the Booth-level committee training programme.

According to a separate press release from the party’s Media Cell, the first phase of the programme will cover the completed booth-level committees of the following districts – Mon, Tuensang, Longleng and Mokokchung.
