Nagaland State Finance Commission’s term extended

Kohima, November 20 (MExN): The Finance Department, in a public notice, has extended the term of the Fourth Nagaland State Finance Commission till March 31, 2026.

The extension was made via a notification dated October 13, 2025, in continuation of the earlier notification dated October 25, 2024, informed the State DIPR.

The Commission has been primarily tasked to review the financial position of the Rural Local Bodies as well as the Urban Local Bodies and to make recommendations covering a period of five years commencing on April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031.

Meanwhile, the Commission has invited suggestions and views on issues relating to its terms of reference from the general public, institutions, and organisations, and requests that these be submitted by December 10, 2025.
