Home Department clarifies on posting of ADC at Chümoukedima
Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The Nagaland Home Department issued a statement on Wednesday informing that the Government of Nagaland has decided to keep on hold the instructions issued by Home Department on September 7, “on account of the concerns expressed by various organisations.”
The statement, made available through the state DIPR, was also issued to ‘provide clarity’ with regard to posting of ADC at Chümoukedima and related issues. As such, the Home Department said that the State Cabinet had decided in its meeting held on March 11, 2021 to shift the Deputy Commissioner Office, Dimapur to the new Complex in Chümoukedima. It said that the Home Department was asked to work out the phasing schedules for the shifting of the DC office and other offices.
“However, on account of the reservations expressed from various quarters, the Cabinet had decided in its Meeting held on August 10, 2021 to post an ADC, EAC and Sub-Treasury Office at the new Deputy Commissioner Office Complex, Chümoukedima with a view to provide greater convenience to the public and with a view to decongest the Deputy Commissioner Office, Dimapur,” the statement read.
Accordingly, an additional officer was posted as ADC to function from the new Deputy Commissioner Office Complex Chümoukedima, and EAC Seithekema was transferred and entrusted with additional responsibility of assisting ADC at Chümoukedima, it said.
