Nagaland: State reports 130 fresh COVID-19 cases

130 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the State on September 9, taking the total number of cases to 4375. According to an update from State health Minister S Pangnyu Phom, out of the total cases, 64 were reported in Kohima, 63 in Dimapur, 2 in Mon and 1 in Mokokchung.  

Contact tracing has been fully activated by the IDSP team, the Minister added. 

Meanwhile, according to the daily briefing on COVID-19 issued by the Principal Secretary, Home, out of the total number of positive cases in the state, 578 are active cases. As per the severity of symptoms, 566 active cases are asymptomatic, 9 active cases are mild and 3 active cases are moderate. 

Further, out of the 4,375 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are:1,893 cases from Armed Forces, 1,321 cases from Returnees, 311 cases of Frontline Workers and 850 cases of Traced Contacts. A total of 864 persons are presently under facility quarantine.
