Dimapur, November 20 (MExN): Organised by Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), a five-day in-depth training for developing a pool of 33 State Resource Persons (SRP) covering the whole districts in Nagaland is underway at East Inn, Dimapur from November 19 to 23.
An update received here stated that in his keynote address, M Rollan Lotha, Chief Operating Officer, NSRLM acknowledged the 33 staff selected as resource pool for skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling of mission social capital that will nurture Community Institutions towards sustainability.
He stressed on the need to foster an eco-system where integration of diverse themes under NRLM programme thrives along convergence with key stakeholders, as per the Vision and Goal of the SHG Federations and Cooperatives. Toward this direction, Lotha also stressed the need to affix ‘Employment’ under existing Livelihoods Sub-committee of the VLOs and CLFs. The “Sub-committee on Livelihoods & Employment.” Henceforth, it is expected to increase the role of Women SHGs in addressing issues of unemployment and finding jobs for the unemployed youths in the villages. NSRLM aims to evolve 85 Cluster Level Federations as Sustainable Cooperatives by 2027, and the SRPs will be crucial in infusing quality towards achieving these goals.
The five-day training on ‘CBO Sub-committee’ focuses on integration approach of livelihoods, financial inclusion, social inclusion and social development intervention at the CLF level. The training is facilitated by State Mission Management Unit with nationally certified Master SRPs Moanungsang, BPM of Changtongya Block, NSRLM and Vitistuo Mepfu, BPM of Jakhama Block, NSRLM as Resource Persons and virtual observation support from Girish Pradhan, National Resource Person, NIRD, MoRD.
