Nagaland: Sumi Hoho for early solution

Zunheboto, September 30 (MExN): The Sumi Hoho held a consultative meeting with all its frontal organizations and Sumi senior leaders at Lhomithi Council Hall on September 30 and adopted certain resolutions regarding the ongoing Naga political talks.

 “The Sumi people fully endorse the demand of the 14 tribes of Nagaland for early solution of the Indo-Naga issue,” informed a statement issued after the meeting.

They also extended solidarity to the political arrangements for Nagas living in states other than Nagaland. 

While urging the Government of India (GoI) to sign the Agreement at the earliest and within a stipulated time frame, the Sumi people also appealed to all the Naga political groups (NPGs) to join hands for a ‘comprehensive solution,' the statement added. 

The statement was appended by President Sumi Hoho, Hekhushe Shikhu; President Western Sümi Hoho, Dr Kakheto Zhimomi; President Sümi Kükami Hoho, Kashito Yepthomi; President, Sümi Totimi Hoho, Kheholi Assumi; and President Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu, Hutoshe Kits.
