Nagaland Super League 2025: All teams share points on matchday 3

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Super League’s Matchday 3 on February 1 witnessed three high-intensity clashes, with all matches ending in draws as teams fought fiercely to gain an upper hand in the competition.

At Chumoukedima Football Stadium, Longterok FC and 27 United FC played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in what was arguably the most exciting match of the tournament so far. Longterok FC started strong, with Kakhevi Ashumi scoring in the 11th minute, but 27 United FC responded through Manton K Wangshu in the 26th minute. Ngangsang K Phom put Longterok FC ahead again in the 36th minute, but a stoppage-time equalizer from Kunuzo Venyo in the 90+2 minute ensured 27 United FC salvaged a point. Namang Yimjong of Longterok FC was named Player of the Match for his influential role throughout the game.

Meanwhile, at IG Stadium in Kohima, Sechü Zubza FC and Nagaland United SC played out a tightly contested 1-1 draw. Nagaland United SC dominated the first half and took the lead through Nisede Peseyie in the 34th minute. However, Sechü Zubza FC turned the game around in the second half, pressing higher and maintaining more possession. Their efforts paid off when Kevizolie equalized in the 72nd minute. Despite both sides pushing for a late winner, the match ended in a stalemate.

The final match of the day at Chumoukedima Football Stadium saw Red Scars FC and Frontier Warriors battle to another intense 2-2 draw. Yonu Richard Thaikho opened the scoring for Red Scars FC in the 27th minute, but Mughahuto Chishi quickly responded for Frontier Warriors in the 31st minute. Sentilong restored Red Scars FC’s lead in the 49th minute, only for Vinato Achumi to level the score again in the 55th minute. With both teams searching for their first win, the match was played with aggression and determination. Rakeveiche of Red Scars FC was named Player of the Match for his crucial role in the midfield, orchestrating his team’s attacking plays.
