The highlight of Nagaland’s second innings was a brilliant knock from Nischal Dega, who scored 154 runs off 228 balls, laying a strong foundation for the team’s declaration. His performance was complemented by Hem, who contributed a patient 90 runs off 242 balls, frustrating Manipur’s bowlers throughout his innings. Captain Jonathan Rongsen also made a quickfire contribution, remaining unbeaten on 26 as Nagaland confidently declared their innings.
On the bowling front for Manipur, Bishworjit was the standout performer, claiming 3 wickets for 38 runs, while Ajay Singh and Kabir each picked up a wicket, helping to limit Nagaland’s scoring.
As Manipur commenced their second innings, they faced the challenging target of 405 runs.
