Three contingents from Nagaland at National NSS Convention held at New Delhi on April 25 and 26.

Kohima, May 1 (MExN): The National NSS Convention 2025, devoted to exploring the evolving trajectory of NSS initiatives, the optimal utilisation of the MY Bharat portal, and the pivotal contribution of the NSS towards realising a Viksit Bharat, was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on April 25 to 26.
The two-day assembly, which convened 37 NSS Programme Coordinators and 75 NSS Programme Officers, hailing from 36 States and Union Territories across the nation, served as a dynamic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and policy input aimed at enhancing the efficacy of NSS initiatives in alignment with the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
Representing the state of Nagaland at the Convention were B. Orenvungo Yanthan, NSS Programme Officer, Riizhiikhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima and Senjumbeni K Jami, NSS Programme Officer, Tetso College, Dimapur.
The team led by Ruokuovikuo Zatsu, State NSS Nodal Officer, Nagaland, contributed regional perspectives to the national discourse on youth engagement and community service.
The inaugural ceremony was honoured by the distinguished presence of Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Minister of State, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, according to a release issued by Zatsu.
